Watch for the sign that says Brandywine Bay Estates (right turn) and follow the narrow road past townhouses to a private house overlooking the channel. You dine on a cobblestoned garden terrace and the ambience, service and gourmet food combine to make this a superb experience. The chef creates all the sauces, dressings, soups and desserts and you can be sure that they are fresh because the menu changes daily. The Tuscan menu often includes beef or vegetarian carpaccio, mussels arrabbiata and homemade mozzarella. Entrées include roast duck with mango sauce, coconut-crusted rack of lamb with red Thai curry sauce and porcini-crusted ahi tuna. Tiramisu or the lemon tart finishes the meal with a bang. Brandywine Bay has an extensive wine list. You can peek at the temperature-controlled wine cellar. Reservations a must. Casual chic attire.
